Visio Divina: Quiet Day
Use the lens of your camera or smartphone to become aware of your embodied emotions, equipping you to see with the ‘eyes of the heart’. This quiet day introduces participants to contemplative photography and visio divina.
No photographic skills are required, simply a camera you can use. The day has a gentle pace, with a mindful-photographic prayer walk included. The presenter is Steve Radley.
Also Included
What do I bring?
Each participant will require a smartphone or camera. No knowledge of photography is required and the retreat does not focus on the technical aspects of photography (modern cameras can do most of the work for us).
What can I learn?
Retreatants will gain the knowledge to start to develop a contemplative photography practice. Some people find this practice can help reduce anxiety by providing a strategy to focus on the present-moment.
Photo walk
The day has a gentle pace, with a mindful-photographic pray walker. For those who find walking more challenging exercises can be practiced around the house & gardens.
