Pilgrim Ways
The monthly Pilgrim Ways evenings reflect on different aspects of pilgrimage.
- Do you think of your life as a journey?
- Would you like to reflect on your Camino experience?
- Do you find the Camino has some meaning for you?
- How might walking make you wise?
The Irish pilgrim paths and the Camino have timeless meaning and speak to thousands every year. We invite seasoned and prospective walkers to come along on the third Thursday night of each month for some reflective time focused on the experience of or in anticipation of pilgrimage.
Each evening will focus on an aspect of pilgrimage – perhaps referring to Ignatius of Loyola who refers to himself in his autobiography as “the Pilgrim” - and invite participants to reflect on their own sense of being a pilgrim.
The gatherings will involve some input, quiet time and conversation and will conclude with a cup of tea - a chance to compare notes or meet up with other walkers. These evenings will address aspiring and experienced Camino-walkers and be of interest to those following other pilgrim trails and routes locally and internationally.

On the Ignatian Camino

On the Camino to Santiago
There is space for all sorts of footwear – and none – on life's pilgrimages.

On the Camino to Santiago
Quiet moments to sit and think mark any pilgrimage route.

Crossing over
Every pilgrimage is an individual journey in which each person attaches attaches meaning to different parts.

Ignatian Camino
The Ignatian Camino is a route running from Loyola to Manresa, much of it used by pilgrims making for Santiago, travelling in the other direction.

Montserrat
Traditional pilgrimages lead us to follow the paths taken by people over many generations.
Where walkers gather there’s sure to be advice, recommendations and encouragement!
Our intention is not plan walks, but our location and the amenities offered may make it hard to resist falling in step with some others.
These meetings have taken place online while it has been impossible to meet in person in Manresa. We hope to resume them on site as soon as is practicable.
