World Labyrinth Day 2019

Labyrinth

Celebrate World Labyrinth Day on Saturday 4 May 2019 by walking our beautifully-situated labyrinth. This international day will be marked by a day offering information, reflection and guided labyrinth-walking as well as opportunity for space and reflection. The day will be led by Piaras Jackson SJ, a Veriditas trained facilitator.

While we will refer to the Christian understanding and use of the labyrinth, anyone seeking a time of quiet and reflection is welcome.

Sat 4 May 2019, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

Manresa's Labyrinth The Manresa labyrinth is an outdoor 'turf labyrinth' deriving from a pattern known in Ireland since the twelfth century, when it was inscribed on the base of Saint Patrick's Cross in Cashel. Popularised by its later use Chartres Cathedral, France, this eleven-circuit labyrinth is offered to engage the walker in a meditation in movement.
