The Pilgrim Road

In his autobiography Ignatius of Loyola called himself ‘the pilgrim’.

Vatican II described the Church as ‘a pilgrim people’.

My life of faith is a journey I travel with God, with others, with myself.
It is a journey of surprises, of ups and downs, of discovery.  Sometimes it can feel like a lonely journey.  Here is a chance to travel this journey with other pilgrims.

In this programme of 8 Tuesday evenings, beginning on 9 February 2010 and continuing fortnightly until 24 May 2010, participants will be guided through some of the key moments of the Ignatian spiritual journey.  Each evening session will involve some short introductory input; time for personal reflection on that input and a harvesting of the riches of each pilgrim’s reflection in discrete sharing.

To ensure optimum personal benefit from the course, interested participants must be prepared to commit themselves from the outset to attending all sessions; to have a capacity for personal prayerful reflection and to be prepared to share in a manner they feel appropriate.

Ignatius wrote in the Spiritual Exercises, “It is not knowing much, but realising and relishing things interiorly, that contents and satisfies the person.”

The aim of this course is to help you experience together the graces of the Spiritual Exercises and so enrich your life of faith and service.

Cost:  €160 for the programme (8 evenings)
